If you’re looking to add a Mediterranean flair to your lunch, Basha Donair is your place. The portion sizes are more than generous, the food is incredibly fresh & tasty, and the service is fast & friendly. Unsure what to order off their massive menu of wraps and plates? Don’t be afraid to ask for a staff recommendation.

Go-to Order: Basha’s Jimmy the Greek Donair! The tzatziki sauce and herbs complement one another perfectly, fresh veggies provide the right amount of crunch, and (of course) the donair meat is amazing.

Phat Tony’s Bistro & Cafe – Leduc

We are in LOVE with Phat Tony’s, and you will be too after you try them out for lunch. They have delicious homemade soups, classic sandwiches, grilled cheeses, and wraps, but the star of the show may just be their signature potato salad. Pro tip: they also sell their soup by frozen container… Makes for an excellent addition to your own meal when you’re in a pinch, and the prices are very reasonable.

Versus Cafe & Catering Co. – Calmar

This cute cafe is THE place to grab lunch when in Calmar (and is truly worth making the trip just for lunch alone). The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, the service is top-notch, and we can’t even begin to describe how tasty their homemade food and specialty coffees are. Don’t leave without having a dessert!

Go-to Order: This is another lunch spot with changing daily specials – take a look at their Facebook Page for up-to-date info. Some of our past favorites include their tomato rosemary soup paired with grilled ham & cheese muffins, or really any of their homemade bread products. Grab some locally roasted Alternate Route coffee too while you’re here – you can thank us later.

Kosmos Restaurant & Lounge – Leduc

Kosmos has been a staple on the Leduc Region’s dining scene for almost 40 years, and that doesn’t happen by fluke. You can always expect excellent service – the staff go out of their way to make sure your every need is catered to. And don’t even get us started on how good the food is… You just have to experience it for yourself.

Go-to Order: We are obsessed with Kosmos’ chicken wings (we think they’re some of the best in town), but you can’t go wrong with their daily soup and sandwich combo for lunch. Check out their Facebook Page to see what specials they are cooking up on any given day.

Leduc Diner & Pizza Ltd. – Leduc

There’s a soft spot for the Leduc Diner in this writer’s heart – it’s the first restaurant I remember eating at. Whenever the grandparents would come to visit, we would always take them for lunch here. The Leduc Diner offers a large variety of comfort food that is consistently well-prepared, delicious, and don’t be surprised if the owner himself swings by your table with complimentary dessert (as a thank-you for dining at his restaurant).

Go-to Order: Any of their homestyle pizzas or lasagnas – they’ve made a name for themselves throughout the Leduc Region. They’re thick, they’re cheesy, they’re perfectly baked… you won’t be leaving hungry.

HALO Bar & Bistro – Edmonton International Airport

The hotel itself is beautiful, the lounge & dining area is beautiful, the food is beautiful – but what makes this classy lunch spot most memorable is the FOOD! As a farm-to-table fusion restaurant, they’ve got a little bit of everything on the menu, so everyone will find something to enjoy. Pair your meal with one of their signature cocktails, and you have yourself the perfect recipe for a memorable lunch.

Go-to Order: Definitely try one of their salads for lunch! Our favorite is the Beet Salad – it has fresh mixed greens, crunchy candied pecans, Canadian goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, and just the right amount of passion fruit dressing.

Barney’s – Leduc

You can’t go wrong having any meal at this unique gastropub, but their lunch offers are in a class of their own. In fact, the Discover Leduc Region team ordered takeout from here just last week (in the name of research, of course). We can say with certainty… the food is ridiculously tasty, and the service is always excellent.

Go-to Order: For lunch… Definitely crispy chicken tacos! Piled high with bite-sized pieces of expertly-cooked chicken, fresh veggies, and the tastiest sauce, this mouthwatering dish makes for the perfect lunch. If you’re visiting for dine-in service, make sure to check out their signature pour-your-own beer wall!

Leduc Coffee Shop – Leduc

This picturesque cafe on Main Street Leduc offers much more than just cozy ambience – the daily specials will have you coming back again and again! We can’t get enough of their homemade soups and sandwiches, and you’ll regret not grabbing one of their specialty coffees on your way out. The staff here are extremely friendly too – your experience at the Leduc Coffee Shop is sure to brighten your day!

Go-to Order: All of their soups are incredible, but we’re particularly fond of their Dill Pickle soup. When it comes to fresh sandwiches, our go-to is the cranberry turkey havarti. Make sure to grab one of their famous cinnamon buns and a latte for dessert.
