This quaint little gallery is located on the east end of Calmar, AB, and can be found on the second floor of the picturesque Calmar Medical Clinic. The gallery itself displays some down right incredible pieces of art, with exhibits rotating on a regular basis to keep things fresh and current. By celebrating the works of local artists, the Zyp Art Gallery aims to inspire non-traditional art viewers through education, while also paying homage to the philanthropists the space is named for – Hank and Tillie Zyp.

Post-adventure snack: Less than a 2 min walk away from the gallery is the Calmar Bakery – a fantastic spot to enjoy a quick coffee and tasty treat. The smell of fresh donuts is immediately noticeable when you walk in, and you can’t go wrong with ordering one (or a few) of these delicious snacks (approx. $1.50/donut). Pair your donut with a cup of fresh drip coffee (also $1.50) if you need a quick pick-me-up. Fair warning, the freshly baked goods sold here fly off the shelves quickly, so arrive early to make sure you get your pick.
