Over 6 km of well-maintained trails are waiting for you at the Leduc Golf & Country Club! Two separate loops of track wind through the natural landscape of the golf course, and are groomed approximately three times per week (with new groomers that were purchased from the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, nevertheless). The best part? Trails are open daily and FREE of charge to the public!

Here’s a few helpful tips to be aware of before you plan your next adventure here:
> Parking is available at the golf course clubhouse (be mindful of ongoing construction)
> Bring your own equipment (no rentals available on-site)
> Due to construction, there are currently no washrooms available
> Ski only on groomed trails, and leave the pets at home
> Trails are unsupervised, so ski with care

Rig Hand Distillery isn’t just about spirits; it’s also a gateway to outdoor adventure. During the winter months, the scenic grounds transform into a cross-country skiing paradise, with trails suitable for all skill levels.

Re-post from Rig Hand: Please help us keep Saunders Lake enjoyable for everyone by avoiding the groomed cross-country ski trails. This includes the skate ski pad in the middle of the double tracks and the sections of skate pad beside the single track. Many users of the lake have done a fantastic job of sharing and respecting the trails.

However we ask that everyone please avoid the skate pad between the two tracks as well, it is designed for skiing and not for snowmobilers to follow. Please avoid the entire groomed section to the best of your abilities. It is only a 15 foot wide section to avoid and runs as close to the shore as our groomers can set.

When a sled drives on the groomed trails, it causes hours of re-grooming and makes skiing extremely difficult, if not impossible, for those using the trails. There are spots where sleds will inevitably need to intersect the ski trails. Going directly across the trails cause much less damage and only delays a skier for moments.

This week we are going to cut an entrance through the cat tails at Rig Hand. We ask that snowmobiles continue using the existing entrance and skiers will use the newly formed one in an effort to preserve the track!
