Fall Paddles at Fred Johns – Leduc, AB
“Sheltered from the wind, the Leduc reservoir is a great place to paddle while reflecting in the peace provided by our veterans. This view is one not seen by many, and is a must to share.”

Alberta Skies & Sunrises – Beaumont, AB
“Mornings at our house are busy … Making lunches for the kids, getting them ready and out the door every weekday … But everything stops when there is a sunrise like this one. It may only last a couple seconds when the light is just picture perfect – everyone should make the time to enjoy the beauty Alberta skies offer.”

Autumn Bike Rides around Telford – Leduc, AB
“My family and I were on a bike ride around Telford Lake and I had to stop and take some pics of the fall colours! It was such a beautiful ride … I don’t know if there is anything better than a warm fall day and squeezing every ounce of heat from the sun before the long cold winter sets in.”

Auroras Above Rolly View – Leduc County, AB
“I was driving back home to Leduc from Hay Lakes when I noticed the sky starting to dance with the lovely Lady Aurora. I have always been fascinated with her, longing to see the many colours she can display. Just outside of Rolly View I pulled over to watch … And what a show she put on! Mainly greens, with a few whites too, that danced across the northern horizon. With a cell phone, it can be tricky capturing her. But, after playing with settings, and using a tripod + auto shutter button, I was finally able to capture some amazing pictures with a shaky hand. Working nights, I don’t always get the pleasure of seeing her, but when I do, I will stay out for hours. I look forward to nights ahead as the warm season comes to an end, since she tends to visit in the winter months more.”

Telford Trails at Sunset – Leduc, AB
“Nature is where I feel healthiest – mentally, spiritually, and physically. I often find myself walking these trails around Telford Lake, and it’s always so beautiful. This particular night was like walking into a rainbow!”
