Did you know that Leduc has a thriving arts scene? The Leduc Art Club
The Art Club is one of The Foundry’s tenant groups. They provide several art classes for all ages and skill levels. Their list of instructors include pastel artist David Shkolny, wildlife artist Sam Hnatiw, and award winning Edmonton Oil Artist Cindy Revell. They not only offer classes for skilled adults, but also for children, teens, and those with special needs.
Black Gold Quilt Patch Guild Gallery Showing
Another one of The Foundryâs tenant groups, The BGQPG is a quilt guild in Leduc, founded in1995. Members of the guild will be displaying their work in The Arts Foundryâs front gallery. This group holds bi-annual quilt shows, and are dedicated to making quilts to donate to our chosen charities. Poetry as Imaginary Encounters – Live from Berlin
While The Arts Foundry is located in Leduc, we have reached audiences around the globe.
German poet and artist Crista Siglin will be holding a virtual 5 session class at the end of
February. Students will be analyzing poetry and art in tandem, discussing their concepts and
creating in response. This class is for anyone curious about diving deeper into art and
poetry, and no prior knowledge is necessary, there are no wrong answers.
Tuesday Community Drop-in and Y-DIP
Tuesday Community Drop-in and Y-DIP The Arts Foundry holds free drop-ins every single Tuesday. All ages are welcome to stop by The Foundry from9am-4pmto meet other artists and get creative. From 4-7pm, The Arts Foundry becomes a space for teens to get together at Y-DIP, funded by the City of Leduc.Youth are encouraged to bring in their own art project, or join the evenings’ group activity.
