Gathering Our Medicine
Explore nature’s wondrous plan for our children and youth’s growth and development. We will explore shared understandings found within the wisdom traditions of many Indigenous and ancient cultures around raising children. Participants will feel empowered to naturally support the flourishing of all children and families. This circle discussion will contain insights for parents, caregivers and professionals alike.
- A cross-cultural model intended to facilitation the restoration of care of Indigenous youth to the kinship circle
- Led by traditional Indigenous wisdom while be informed by attachment theory, developmental psychology, and affective neuroscience
- Restores the kinship circle as the answer in the lives of our indigenous youth
- Restores dignity to the role of caring most naturally situated within families and communities
