Farm to Flame
Looking for a unique date night, a sensory experience, or just a break from ordinary cooking? The Old Red Barn is offering multi-course, live, fire-cooked meals with cooking tips from an experienced Pitmaster!
This three-hour demonstration style experience is located on a working dairy farm in Leduc County (just 7 minutes from Edmonton International Airport). The menus are designed around what’s seasonally available from surrounding local farms. You will receive a welcome cocktail, get expert tips on cooking, take home recipe card, and be engaged in the entire process of making fire cooked food.
You will be delighted to indulge in a variety of Pitmasters creations, and receive a personal, in-depth glance at their passions and skills. Surround yourself in the beautiful landscape of the Leduc Region, hear the crackling sounds of the fire, smell the savoury aroma of your supper, connect with the earth and outdoors, and of course taste the most amazing, succulent flavours of a prepared meal!
Some of the talented and creative cooks + producers you will be dazzled by are: Pitmaster Peter Zukiwski from Pitt County BBQ, Kristin from Fifth Gen Gardens, Rob from Effing Seafoods, Janice, the Pitmaster for the 3 x Canadian BBQ Championship team SmellaQue, and Riley Aitken from Smoky Bear.
Starting June 23 until September 8, there will be 6 opportunities for you to take part in this incredible experience. Avoid disappointment—limited spots are available, be sure to reserve your spot now for one of the events!
