You Can Help Jasper Recover
1) Plan a Midweek Mountain Getaway or Day Trip Mountain Pilgrimage
Consider staying overnight in Jasper or Hinton (& area). Parks Canada and the Municipality of Jasper have been steadily reopening trails and amenities. There's plenty to see and do. If an overnight stay isn't possible, we highly recommend a fall drive from either Calgary or Edmonton.
2) Shop Local: Support Jasper Businesses (Perfect for Early Holiday Shopping!)
The town has already lost much of its prime tourism season, and businesses are now looking to the winter months to help them survive into next year.
3) Travel with Purpose: Share Your Experiences Responsibly
Share your Jasper experiences on social media to encourage others to visit, focusing on the natural beauty and open amenities helps promote Jasper while respecting the privacy of residents. Tour and Guide Operators have begun to offer guided interpretive tours of fire impacted landscapes and the Leduc MagicBus to Marmot is running.
