6 Things To Do This Holiday Season

As the calendar flipped over, so did the weather with the arrival of snow. For some, the month of November signals the start of #merrychristmas— there are only 7 Fridays until Christmas! The season can fill up with festivities, friends, family, and activities pretty quickly. The Leduc region has a lot for you to experience, whether you’re looking for bright and cheery, or peaceful and warm—you’ll be sure to find it here! 


Magic of Lights

November 24 – January 1
Leduc County

The Magic of Lights is 2.5 kilometers of festive and vibrant LED-lighted displays celebrating the magic & wonder of the holidays. An enchanted “drive-through” experience from the comfort of your own car (approximate 30-minute drive on the enchanted route). At every turn, and in every direction, the magical route is overflowing with spectacular light displays and animations. 

Christmas in the Park

Kick off the season and bring your friends and family out for an enjoyable evening of sleigh rides, hot chocolate and pictures with Santa. 

Santa Claus Parade

November 26, 7:00PM
City of Leduc

Santa Claus is coming to Leduc and the celebrations begin with carolers & photos with Santa at Block 50. Enjoy free hot chocolate at stations throughout the parade route. Please bring a donation for Leduc Santa’s Helpers. The Santa Claus parade will start at 7 PM and will go West on 50th Avenue (Mainstreet) to 50th Street and then North on 50th Street up to 54th Avenue (City Centre Mall). 

Christmas in the Park

The full Christmas in the Park experience is back! Twinkling Christmas lights, crisp winter air, a candlelit story walk, hot chili and carols! Go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride before visiting with Santa and having some delicious maple taffy. 

CP Holiday Train

December 8
6:50PM – 7:30 PM (Town of Millet)
8:15PM – 9:00 PM (City of Leduc)
 

A Canadian holiday tradition will be coming to Millet and Leduc this December, as the CP Holiday Train makes its annual appearance for its 24th year. Experience 1,000 feet in length with rail cars decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights and a modified boxcar that has been turned into a travelling stage for performers. 

Brighten up Beaumont

Four Seasons Park
City of Beaumont

Brighten up Beaumont is back on December 10. Come for a stroll through Four Seasons Park and enjoy Beaumont’s annual winter celebration including ice sculptures, sleigh rides, hot chocolate concession, and much more!
