Local Rodeo Family Fun in Leduc
The largest in Leduc is returning … The Black Gold Pro Rodeo! Come be a part of the excitement. This annual event hosts thousands of local and out of town guests for edge-of-your-seat action and family fun. The rodeo events happen over four days from June 2-5, 2022 and offers a variety fun + experiences such as Professional Rodeo Performances (including 7 rodeo events), Black Gold Days Parade, Trade Fair + Midway, Pancake Breakfasts and BBQ lunches, Pet Parade, Leduc Black Gold Country Idol Contest, Cabaret, and so much more!
Plus, don’t miss out on the kickoff weekend, May 26-29, 2022, which includes an Extreme Cowboy Competition, Ranch Rodeo, Car Show, K-Days Talent Search, and Karma Kick Off Concert to start the rodeo off with a bang.

Karma Concert

Extreme Cowboy Competition

The Extreme Cowboy Challenge provides all ages of riders and horse breeds the opportunity to compete in a timed obstacle event. It is a fun, safe, equine sport for the whole family.
Pro Rodeo Events
Thursday, June 2 – Sunday, June 5
Pro riders from across North America will show off their skills in seven very different rodeo events at the Black Gold Rodeo. You won’t want to miss a minute of the edge-of-your-seat action! Enjoy watching Wild Pony Races, Bull Riding, Tie-down Roping, and so much more.
Midway, + Trade Fair & Farmer’s Market
The trade fair features over 100+ booths, beer gardens, food vendors, and live entertainment on the Main Stage. FREE ADMISSION for the Trade Fair, means you can bring the whole family along – there truly is something for everyone. The Midway is located in the parking lot of the Leduc Recreation Centre and on Thursday, June 2, it’s The One 93.1 FM Fan Appreciation night and kids ride for $40 with two non-perishable food bank items.
Black Gold Days Parade

Come early and stake out your spot along 50 Street so you can take in the dozens of beautiful floats, bands and exhibits that make up the Black Gold Parade! Starting Rodeo Saturday at
10 AM, the parade makes its way along 50 Street, from 65 Avenue to Black Gold Drive.
Dance in the Dirt
Friday, June 3
FREE, Open to All Ages
The Friday night Rodeo Dance is FRIDAY NIGHT after the Rodeo performance in the Aspen Custom Trailers Arena with FREE admission. The dance will be held in the Rodeo Arena in the dirt, don’t miss the fun of dancing and prancing! Bring your cowboy boots and get ready to kick up your heels! This is a licensed event. The beer and beverage stands will remain open until 1:00 AM.
