Local holiday festivities

Are you looking to discover local products and makers, food, and entertainment all while getting into the holiday spirit? We’ve got a list of Christmas markets, craft fairs, Holiday Parades, and more – all happening over the next few weeks in the Leduc Region! Read on to learn about upcoming festive events for you to enjoy … Note: for all events, please follow all public health orders regarding travel, physical distancing, and REP as indicated by the Government of Alberta.

Leduc Santa Claus Parade

WHEN: November 27th (Pre-Parade Party at 6 pm | Parade at 7pm)
WHERE: Main Street, Leduc

Main Street and the Leduc Downtown Business Association are proud to bring back the Santa Claus Parade! Join us for a festive evening full of Christmas Cheer. The pre-Parade Party starts at 6 PM with hot dogs, hot chocolate, carolers, pictures with Santa & his elves, and so much more!

Parade beings at 7 pm from the east end of Main Street at 47th street, travels west towards 50th street, then north to 52nd Avenue. Keep your eye out – Santa is coming!

Merry & Bright 2021 Light Parade

WHEN: November 27th (from 5 – 8 pm)
WHERE: Town of Devon

The Town of Devon and Christmas in the Park are proud to announce this year’s Merry & Bright, 2021 Light Parade, taking Christmas in the Park to the streets and bringing the festive feeling of Christmas in the Park to the whole town. So, bundle up and grab a spot along the parade route to enjoy a fun evening of Christmas delights. The parade line-up includes Santa Claus, the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, Transflowmation Glow Dancers, Citizens on Patrol, and more!

Devon’s Merry & Bright Parade
Christmas Market & Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

WHEN: December 5th (from 1pm – 6 pm)
WHERE: Rollyview Community Hall

The Rolly View Community Association is excited to invite you to kick off the holiday season at their Christmas Market on December 5th. Make your Christmas Lists, and check them off with Hand Crafted, Artisan vendors for those unique gifts and people on your list. Gift-wrapping services available!

You are also invited for the VERY FIRST Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony the same evening starting at 5:30pm. Grab your coats, hats, mitts, and singing voices and join us while we ring in the holiday season with a very special Lighting of the Tree ceremony, complete with hot chocolate, special winter treats, and of course….a visit from SANTA!!

Leduc Arts Foundry Market Sale

WHEN: December 4 (from 10am – 5pm)
WHERE: Leduc Arts Foundry (in Leduc Rec Centre)

The Leduc Arts Foundry will be holding a Christmas Market with live music and a selection of local venders such as: Jar’d Mercantile, Sweet Treats by Carly, Aman Cara Scented Candles, Patchwork Quilters, and Mittens by Sherry. Artists of The Leduc Art Club will be in attendance, you will be able to meet the artists behind the artwork, as well as purchase any pieces you fall in love with.Chicks with Picks will also be playing live music throughout the event.

There will be gifts for $5.00 or less, perfect for little shoppers. Don’t miss our Christmas Elf who will be handing out Candy Canes!

Arts Foundry Market: 2021
Moonlight Madness on Thursdays

WHEN: November 25th, 2021 (from 4:00-8:00pm)
WHERE: Main Street Leduc

Starting November 25th and happening every Thursday until December 16th, (select) Main Street businesses will be staying open late – to 8PM – to help you with your holiday shopping!

November 25th, Main Street will transport you to a winter wonderland as we explore the world of Frozen! We encourage you to get involved and dress up as your favourite Frozen character – who knows who you might run into while shopping in the Main Street District…Stop by the fire pit to warm up, grab a treat and some swag, and receive your passport stamp!

Passports are available at participating Main Street businesses, and at the fire pit area. Shoppers can receive a stamp for each week of Moonlight Madness and each one gets a draw prize entry – more stamps gets you closer to our Ultimate Main Street Giveaway basket! Maker’s Mixer

WHEN: December 10 2021 (from 4 – 8 pm)
WHERE: Tangled Roots, Leduc County

Tangled Roots Performance & Event Venue hosts a Makers Mixer on December 10th … with a goal to get to know their neighbours and learn how they can better support local creatives, they want to create a community where makers and producers can support each other, be inspired, and thrive.

Check out their location, only minutes from Beaumont, on 80 acres of outdoor space surrounded by trees and farmland. The main venue is 5000 square feet of chic, industrial space—spacious and flexible enough to welcome both large and small gatherings. This fun event is sure to leave you impressed + ready to support local!

Shop Til You Drop Christmas Market

WHEN: December 11 + 12, 2021 (Saturday 10 am – 5 pm | Sunday 10 am – 4 pm)
WHERE: Beaumont Community Center

The 8th annual Jingle Bell Shop Til You Drop Christmas Market is back! With 50 Vendors that are sure to help you check off that Christmas list! Join the community to support local small & home based businesses. This 2-day event includes something for the whole family – door prizes, a visit from Olaf the snowman, music, and so much more! Plus, the free parking is plenty, and there are free swag bags to the first 50 shoppers!
