Alberta’s only province-wide dine around festival has arrived! The Leduc Region is lucky to have three local restaurants participating in Alberta on the Plate 2020 (August 7th-16th). This 10-day food festival is about celebrating local food and drink, and supporting the restaurants we know and love in our communities.

HomeRoom Diner – Devon, AB
Located in the picturesque community of Devon, AB, the HomeRoom Diner regularly attracts both residents and visitors with it’s signature farm-to-fork comfort food. You do NOT want to miss out on the 2-course dinner menu they have prepared for Alberta on the Plate – here’s why:
Main Course
Beer-braised bison short rib served with horseradish cream and king oyster mushrooms, accompanied with potatoes, carrots, and zucchini.

Habaneros Mexican Grill – Leduc, AB
Situated in the heart of downtown Leduc, Habaneros has become well-known throughout the Capital Region for taking the food we love to eat in Mexico and interpreting it for a Canadian audience. The special 2-course dinner menu they’ve prepared for Alberta on the Plate features bold flavors, hand-made salsas, and fresh, local ingredients:
Starter
An individual size portion of our Famous Nachos! Locally-made corn tortilla chips (gluten free!) piled high with corn, black beans, scallions, tomatoes, fresh jalapeño slices, stretchy cheese, and your choice of either local Alberta beef, or our house-made crumbled chorizo featuring local Alberta pork! Comes with salsa and sour cream.
Featured Local Foods: Alberta Beef (raised by Ridge Valley Colony, sold by Local Meats Leduc), Alberta Pork (raised by Family Meats, sold by Local Meats Leduc)
Main Course
Enchiladas Suizas! Our house-made chorizo featuring local Alberta pork is tucked inside three locally-made corn tortillas (gluten free!), smothered in our spicy Enchilada Verde sauce, topped with cheese and baked in a cast iron skillet! Garnished with crema fresca and fresh jalapeño slices.
